What can I order?

You can order copies of articles from journals, magazines, and newspapers owned by the Al Harris Library. You can also order excerpts from books if you're able to tell us the page numbers you need. To find out if the library owns the materials you want, check the Journal Finder and the library catalog. To request an article or book that isn't owned by the library see the Interlibrary Loan page.

How much does the Copy Service for Students cost?

The charge is 10 cents per page. There is no additional charge for fax or postal delivery.

When will I receive my copies?

Your copies will be sent via email, postal mail, or fax to you within two working days. Allow additional time if you request postal mail delivery. Requests that are too large to email will be sent via postal mail.

Are there any restrictions on what I can request?

  • You may submit up to 5 requests at a time.
  • The library is required to follow copyright laws and guidelines. In some cases this may limit the number of articles we can copy for you. If your request can't be filled because of copyright issues, the library will contact you with suggestions on other resources that may meet your needs.
  • Complete issues of journals can't be copied -- only individual articles.
  • Materials not owned by SWOSU can be requested through interlibrary loan. To find out whether the library owns the material you need, check the Journal Finder and the library catalog.
