A Cochrane Collection resource, Cochrane Clinical Answers (CCA) provides a readable, digestible, clinically focused entry point to rigorous research from the Cochrane Collection's systematic reviews. Clinical Answers' intent is to provide clinicians with actionable knowledge and to inform decision making at the point of care. Each Cochrane Clinical Answer contains a clinical question, a short answer, and an opportunity to 'drill down' to the evidence from relevant Cochrane reviews.

The CDSR is the leading resource for systematic reviews in healthcare.  Each Cochrane Review is peer reviewed. The Orange Book identifies drug products approved on the basis of safety and effectiveness by the FDA. (Note that drugs approved only on the basis of safety are not included.) The Orange Book also contains therapeutic equivalence evaluations for multisource prescription drugs. Searchable the Orange Book by active ingredient, proprietary name, applicant holder, or application number.

Hospital Pharmacy is a peer-reviewed journal which focuses on medication errors, adverse reaction reporting, formulary drug reviews, original research, current FDA-related drug information, off-label drug uses, new technology, and other topics of special relevance to practicing pharmacists.

Created by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE is an authoritative index of biomedical and health journals used by health care professionals, nurses, clinicians and researchers engaged in clinical care, public health and health policy development. MEDLINE contains citations from approximately 5,600 journals published worldwide. MEDLINE Complete provides the full text of over 2,500 of these journals.

medRxiv (pronounced "med-archive") is a free online archive and distribution server for complete but unpublished manuscripts (preprints) in the medical, clinical, and related health sciences. Subject collections include pharmacy and nursing.

When citing article manuscripts from medRxiv, note medRxiv's caution: Preprints are preliminary reports of work that have not been certified by peer review. They should not be relied on to guide clinical practice or health-related behavior and should not be reported in news media as established information.

The Merck Manual describes symptoms, common clinical procedures, laboratory tests, and virtually all the disorders that a general internist might encounter. The Manual also deals with problems of pregnancy and delivery; common and serious disorders of neonates, infants, and children; genetics; drug dependency; psychiatric disorders; and many disorders covered by other specialties.

Use the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) thesaurus to get definitions of medical terms, and to discover the best search terms for finding relevant articles in the MEDLINE biomedical journal database.

The MeSH thesaurus is a controlled vocabulary produced by the U.S. National Library of Medicine. MeSH terms are used for indexing, cataloging, and searching for biomedical and health-related information and documents. MeSH provides a consistent way to find content with different terminology but the same concepts. MeSH terms are arranged in a hierarchical structure so that broad searches will retrieve articles indexed with more narrow terms.

Micromedex provides rapid access to information on drugs, diseases, acute care, toxicology, alternative medicines, and patient education.

R2 Digital Library hosts a selection of biomedical ebooks for pharmacy, nursing, and other health sciences. The United States Pharmacopeia National Formulary (USP-NF) is an online reference of public pharmacopeial standards. It contains standards for medicines, dosage forms, drug substances, excipients, medical devices, and dietary supplements. You'll need to disable your browser's pop-up blocker when using the USP-NF.

bioRxiv (pronounced "bio-archive") is a free online archive and distribution service for unpublished preprints in the life sciences. By posting preprints on bioRxiv, authors are able to make their findings immediately available to the scientific community and receive feedback on draft manuscripts before they are submitted to journals. Articles on bioRxiv are not peer-reviewed, edited, or typeset before being posted online.

CINAHL Complete is an index of virtually all English-language nursing journals. This includes publications from the American Nurses' Association and the National League for Nursing, as well as primary journals from allied health disciplines. WebCSD offers fast searching of the Cambridge Structural Database. Search facilities include 2D substructure, molecular similarity, text/numeric and reduced cell searching. Text, chemical diagrams, and 3D structural information can all be studied in the results browser using entry summaries and an embedded three-dimensional viewer.
