Returned Lost Item Replacement Refunds

Fines and processing fees are not refunded when you return a lost library item. However, if you return a lost library item within 90 days of paying for the item’s replacement, you may request a refund of the replacement cost.

To obtain a refund you must:

  • Return the missing item in undamaged condition to the library Circulation Desk.
  • Provide a copy the Lost Item Paid Receipt that was issued to you when you paid for the replacement of the lost item. The receipt must have been issued within the last 90 days.
  • Provide your name, address, and telephone number. We require your SWOSU ID number if you're a student or employee.

The library does not issue cash refunds. A refund check issued by the State of Oklahoma will be mailed to you within 6-10 weeks.
