Al Harris Library Connecting from Off-Campus

Citing Sources

You can use the library's online resources 24/7 from anywhere. Some of the library's online resources require that you login before you can use them. Read this page for information about using the library from off-campus.

Why do I have to login to use some resources and not for others?

Many of the library's online resources are purchased by subscription. The subscription agreements usually require the library to limit access to SWOSU students, faculty, and staff.

Some of the library's online resources (such as the library catalog) don't require you to login before using them from off-campus. Other resources (for example, Academic Search Complete) require you to login.

What's my library login?

  • Students: Login with your GoSWOSU username and password. (If you don't know your GoSWoSU login, see this SWOSU ITS page for help.)
  • Employees: Login with your GoSWOSU username and password.
  • Preceptors: Instructions to find your SWOSU library login can be found in the document library in your ELMS account.
  • Emeriti: Your login is usually your driver's license number.

I can't login! How do I get help?

The fastest way to get help is to call the library reference desk at (580)774-7082. Reference desk help is available whenever the library is open. You can also get help online by using Ask A Librarian.

If you don't know your GoSWoSU login see this SWOSU ITS page for help. You can also call the SWOSU ITS Help Desk at (580)774-7070.
